Saw my OB today, all the NIPT tests came back negative so that is a huge relief.
We are having a girl. I'm so excited

Got to see baby again on the ultrasound and she was doing her gymnastics again.
    I'm so in love.

    Default Egg Donation Greece #6

I'm here with a line in my arm getting intrallipids before I go on Sunday. Although I don't see Dr Nick until the 22nd. Can I ask ladies who have been - when have you gone in for another treatment after transfer? How many days? I won't be back and able to have one for two weeks after transfer..

@Phia I had mine exactly two weeks after transfer. They just scheduled it once I got a BFP and it worked out that way. I then had a further two treatments, two weeks apart. So three since being pregnant and two prior. I have high thyroid antibodies but they are not super high so those treatments were sufficient for me. Best of luck on your trip!

Hi @Phia i had intralipids 10 days before transfer (they said between 7-14 days before was the go), then intralipids on day of transfer at dr nikos rooms and if my bloods on monday are good, australian nurse said we would scedule for around 10-14 days after transfer and I'll probably have 1 more 2 weeks after that i think but i havent checked that yet. Hope that helps :-)

@Phia you could ask dr.nikos to give you a dose while you are there. Just incase its difficult to schedule straight after you return and/or to just give you peace of mind.

Thank you @Monty73 and @gorgeousgeorge - I'll line one up with Dr N while I'm there after transfer. Thanks for that - it'll put my mind at ease for sure!

@Phia sorry I forgot. I also had one with Dr Nikos on the day of transfer too! GG's post just reminded me!
    Good luck.

    Default Another newbie saying hello

Hi all, with so much wonderful news of late, I felt I had to reach out and introduce myself. Congratulations to all of you who are pregnant and good luck to those of you who are going through the process. I have been following all of your journeys for some time now and I credit you ladies (across the 6 threads) for helping me with my own journey.

I am 45 years of age, DH is 47 โ€“ no kids. I was 42 when a DR first told me that it would be difficult for me to fall pregnant โ€“ even with IVF โ€“ but I felt I had to at least try and I was sure that I would prove him wrong. Iโ€™ve had 4 IVF (ICSI) cycles with some small success along the way, but never a pregnancy. My last IVF cycle was in October 2015 โ€“ that cycle took an emotional toll on us both so we gave ourselves a long break.

It was hard to stop the IVF cycles with my OEs. They say that hope dies last and I kept putting my faith into the next cycle. My husband is more pragmatic than me and wanted to try DE with our first cycle, but I wasnโ€™t ready. I am now ready and super excited. I plan on reaching out to the miracle worker Dr Nick at Embryoland today and wanted to share the news with you ladies.

I am hoping to go to Greece in September/October. Iโ€™ve had a few health issues so I am trying to lose some weight first.

    Nice to meet you all

@Notalone, welcome! Thank you for sharing your story. We first tried Ivf when I was 37 with no success, started fostering children, did another round of Ivf when I was 39, still no success so gave up. When I was 42 we started thinking about donor eggs and a friend offered to donate, we did 3 cycles and had our daughter, no frosties. Then I started googling and found this forum and decided on Embryoland. The whole process was pretty easy, easier than previous cycles, less medication. And I figured even if it didn't work at least we had a holiday!
And today I got a BFP, it's still very early days but we had a few to freeze so at least there is back up. I'm so glad we did this, Dr Nikos is lovely and puts your mind at ease. Good luck!!
