    glad i'm not the only one!!! relationships take such a beating when a baby comes along. i didn't think it was possible for such a tiny human to have such an effect.

    My dad passed away too - I know how important it is to have that memory of your loved one live on in the younger ones. If he gets his dad's middle name, then I think it's fair that you get surname.

    With regards to making decisions about baby stuff would he compromise and let you have final say over 50% of the decisions if you give him the other half? Then you can draw who gets to decide what out of a hat.

    If he's not willing to compromise now, it will not get easier for you down the track.

    He sounds very controlling and immature. To have to have the final say about a pram is so petty. You will be using 90% of the time. Not to mention that he is still living at home saving for a house. Brand names or "what other people think" shouldn't be of importance now. He should be more worried about what people think of him still living with his parents while his pregnant wife lives elsewhere
