I'm 24 y.o and was diagnosed with PCO about 3 years ago while I had a mirena. My partner and I have been TTC on and off for 2 years now while trying metformin (now on second attempt almost 3 years later - the first was for helping my PCO), gynaecologist appointments, blood tests, scans and constantly being told I just need to lose weight. I was a size 8 when I was 17 and was never heavier than 55kg before I was diagnosed after a 50kg+ weight gain within two years. At my last gynaecologist app maybe one and a half months ago I was told I just had to lose 25kg and I will fall pregnant almost instantly. I started seeing the specialist due to not getting my period for over 6 months after my mirena removal and having troubles trying to fall pregnant. I have been told by doctors I have PCO not PCOS but now today I have been told by a new doctor I have PCOS as I have almost all symptoms (the only symptom I don't have is excess hair on my face) of PCOS. She wants to send me to a different specialist and put me on Clomid. I'm unsure if I want to put yet another drug into my body (I'm also on pristique for depression) when all it is, is just another doctor giving me their opinion and not any real help. I'm wondering if anyone has had personal experience with this medication and if it's something I should give a go. Tia![]()

I've been on metformin 5.5 weeks. In last 4 weeks I've lost 4kg w/o extra effort. I have a desk job so pretty sedentary.
