    Just saw this. I don't have the paperwork at home but I'm under the impression that the nominated supervisor can mark a child as present as they become the person responsible for your child.

    I spoke to my director about it and she said although it's poor practice, they aren't breaking any specific rules.

    DD's daycare has an electronic sign in. If we forgot to sign in (or the system is down), the carer's sign her in. When we go to sign her out, it makes us confirm that she was present that day. I think this is also occurs if you forget to sign out.

    Any certified supervisor can sign a child into or out of a centre. Parents are then supposed to initial it as acknowledgement afterwards
