    Default Lower back pain! Help!!

Does anyone know what to do?? I was scrubbing the bathtub as I got up it was painful, I've had this happen lately but I slowly carfully get up and after a few minutes I'm fine. So I made no quick movements, but the excruciating pain won't go away.

I can't walk, I just went to the toilet and had to call dh to help me back to bed, I've been doing yoga in my bed for lower back pain, but whatever I do I can't walk unassisted.

Does anyone have any advice? Should I go to the ED to get a needle for pain, I've got an ulcer and am not supposed to take any tablets with ibruprofen, taken panadol which has of course not helped at all. Taken a xanax thought it might relax everything and I'll be ok- I know that's ridiculous, but I'm desperate. DH leaves in 2 days! I need to be better asap!!

    Please help!

It sounds a lot like the pain I get. It's horrid, it has flared up in the last few days so I feel your pain. Mine is from a bulging disc in my lower back. I get radiating pain down the backs of my legs and it feels like everything is all jammed up. The first time it happened I had been painting skirting boards so lots of bending over. It was awful that first time, I couldn't move out of this weird bent-forward position, and I would throw up every time I laid down.

I always go straight to Physio when it flares up. There's a good stretch for it where you lay on your back with knees bent, put one ankle on the other knee and pull towards your chest (gently). It helps release all that tension as the muscles all get stuffed up trying to support the injury.

Try to get to a Physio tomorrow, they should check you over and test your movement to make sure it's nothing serious.

I have that pain as well after breaking my back and now having bulging discs, I use a LED infer red patch every night which has really helped me, feel free to contact me if you would like any further info. But in the short term try a heat pack and go to the Physo tomorrow you could have pinched a nerve. Good luck

Thanks! @Cue I've been doing that stretch when I do it very gently i do find it soothing.
I've had dh help me down stairs in hope that I would forget about it and it would get better but no luck.
I've realised I can lift my right leg fine, but if causes so much pain if I try to lift my left leg.

It's making me so anxious with dh leaving in couple days

    Default Power back pain! Help!!

DH freaked out with the leg causing so much pain, in the ED now, just hope I'm mobile in 2 days when dh leaves.

    No numbness though.

Just had an X-ray, and waiting around, seems to be busy. So may be here for a while.

Feeling a little better, I'm supposed to be taking it easy, I don't really have much of a choice I'm still in pain, although it is less, I was given something for the pain and I can move my leg now. I have to go to my gp the next 2 days to get a needle for the pain, and they said I should be pain free within a week.
This was quite daunting, so I feel a little drained and overwhelmed with it happening in the worst time.
