I have been following your journal and have everything crossed fir you. I know it's only anecdotal, but a friend of mine had multiple early scans, they couldn't see bub and things all looked like the pregnancy wasn't going to proceed. Then she got another scan to confirm and the technician showed her two tiny healthy babies with hearts beating away!

I hope it all works out for you and you're able to put all this stress behind you soon.

Thanks so much. I'm trying to be positive but it's really hard after everything I have been through. Life just isn't fair.

On this one it appears that they have measured the full thing including the part that looked like the head.IMG_1493205028.737380.jpg

@nattie84 I'm following aswell. Everything is crossed you for. My first scan I was 6+3 then my OB took me back to 5+3 because of sizing. Dates where correct but it was a conception of a failed fet so they added a week as I bleed for 11 days. At 36+3 they put me at 34+3 !. Sizing isn't always perfect just remember that and your OB will shed some light on things for you when you see him. I also had specialist scans because of issues picked up at 20+3.

Another one following your journey and quietly cheering you on.

FWIW with my oldest, at the 20 week ultrasound I had a so called specialist tell me that my DS had an abnormal measurement in his brain and he then said I had a 1 in 200 chance of DS having down syndrome. This was back in the days where they let you take home a video recording. We repeatedly watched the video and him measuring that particular region of the brain. There was one measurement that was way off - we could clearly see had clicked on different points. However he went with the average. Excluding the off measurement would have put us will within the normal limits. My point is that we watched an expert measure the same spot about half a dozen times and get a different measurement each time. I wouldn't worry too much at this point. Have faith in the fact that the baby had a good heartbeat and is growing steadily.

Also I had a high risk pregnancy with my fourth child. I needed weekly ultrasounds at the fetal medicine unit at the hospital. I found that there was a very different level of skill between the specialist doctors who performed the ultrasounds and the sonographer they used. Just because you went to a specialist clinic, doesn't mean you saw the best person there.

Thanks ladies Specialist was lovely, he said there is a bleed near the placenta which isn't looking good but can still be ok. The slow blood flow from the placenta may be the reason for slow growth. He said he does see this happen and it could go either way.

As I suspected he didn't want to see the scans and went off what the report said.

Follow up scan in 12 days.
