    Default Overseas egg donors

    Hi,

I am 37 and have been trying to conceive for 3 years, unfortunately have a low AMH of.1.1 have tried IUI which only produced one follicle (after taking high dosage of successful F 300) My FS at MIVF said that I could not have IVF because I would not produce enough eggs.

I have now changed to MonashIVF because they have developed an arrangement with The World Egg Bank Egg Donors in US which means no waiting for "years" for a egg donor.

Can anybody tell me if they have used this and been successful?

On the overhand my FS at Monash said its very expensive for the TWEB also the success if low because the eggs are frozen and do not thaw well! and suggested I go to a Clinic in South Africa called Cape Fertility Clinic which will cheaper?

    Your thoughts please.

I found an egg donor within Australia. We connected via an online community that promotes known egg donation, as opposed to anonymous donation (ie: through a clinic). We wanted to be able to contact our donor should any questions arise in the future, and we intend to be open with our child about how they were created.

My egg donor and I are FB friends and speak on the phone from time to time. We live in different states though so we don't see each other in person. Certainly if we were travelling interstate we would catch up though.

Once I posted an ad seeking an egg donor we connected within just a few short weeks. Finding an egg donor locally really isn't that hard as long as you know where to look and how to go about it. I am now 29 weeks pregnant after a successful fresh transfer, and we were blessed to have some frosties put away for future use also.

Happy to answer any queries privately if you would like to know more

    Hi Blossom74

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Thank you for your recommendation, I have looked at egg donors in Australia, unfortunately as I am single it is more difficult to find someone to to donate their eggs.

However I am not giving up looking for that special gift in Australia. I would love to know the total cost of your procedure and the online community you used.

    Kind regards
    Weybridge

As per the post above, apparently you need to post a certain number of times in order to be able to send and receive messages.

Maybe if you respond to a few posts it will make you eligible to send and receive PM's
