I had the flue injection a few of weeks ago through my clinic. They strongly recommend it too. I'm a teacher so often get it anyway. Was good to get it free though...although I'm paying for my ob so I guess they include it in my bill.

DD is 14 kg and I pick her up when getting in and out of the car sometimes. I don't lift her for long periods because I get tired more than worry. I think when I get bigger I'll start to limit it more so that I don't hurt myself but when I'm good I'll still pick her up here and there.

Dopplers do sound good. What brands do you have ladies.

I've had the flu shot too.

Can you believe I have 12 weeks until my mat leave commences?! It's gonna go so quickly and I can't wait!!!

How long before your due date are you starting leave @ELM13? I was so tired with DD I was glad to take 6 weeks before I was due, and she was a couple of weeks early. This time I'm looking at just taking 4 weeks before my due date.

I was just about to ask that @bubbletrouble when is everyone finishing up? And do you plan to return.

Last time I was adamant I wasnt returning to work at all, I had quit my stressful job and was working casually, but that ran out 9 weeks prior to DS's due date. Best 9 weeks of relaxing and enjoying prebaby life! I was also incredibly swollen from around 34 weeks and could barely walk some days.

This time Im not so sure, I want to return so have to take the 12 months mat leave into account. I like the idea of a month off but that means LO would have to go into daycare around 10 mths old and thats a tad early for me! Maybe 2 weeks? What what if he's early what if he's late? I dunno so many variables!

I've had the flu shot and I think it's working, I feel like I'm on the edge of getting ill but I haven't fallen over the edge which is great.

I have always planned on finishing work the 6 weeks
Before the due date which is what our maternity leave at work says you can. I was thinking of changing that to 4 weeks before my due date but I had my ob appointment yesterday and we changed the date I'm going to deliver to 18th sept instead of 21st so it's 4 weeks after I finish work. I will be 38 + 3 weeks. I asked if we could do that so there was a chance I would be home and not in hospital in my bday, also means there is a tiny bit more of a gap between bubs bday and mine.
20 weeks today so 14 weeks of work left for me!!

    Default IVF Babies due Sep/Oct/Nov 2017 #2

@MrsBMum2be do whatever you are comfortable with. Im planning to work till 38 weeks (although part time) But I know two people (one I was working with) who worked up until they gave birth (with a drs note)

Most people I know worked till 2 weeks prior, some people get bored and want to use the time with the baby rather than sitting at home doing nothing.

It can go either way, an early baby and you get no time at all, or late one and you're sitting at home waiting! At least at work you're busy :P

I've spoken to my boss and said if I'm feeling good I might stay a week or two longer but I work 7am til 5pm and with travel time I'm pretty gone for 11 hours per day so all my days seem to be now is work cause then I get home, walk the dog and go to bed. I'm looking forward to 4 weeks of hopefully putting my feet up before bubs arrives. I have to make up the time when I go to a dr appointment so I'm finding work a struggle, already doing long hours then trying to add extra hours to make up for scans and ob appointments is killing me

I think we are going to start thinking about baby stuff soon, we have been so busy with house stuff we haven't even started to look at it. Does anyone know if shops like baby bunting have end of financial year sales??
