Ladies, what is your opinion on electric blankets? I asked my ob at my first appt and she laughed and said yes I'm allowed to use one. It's getting cold these days but I'm just a little unsure

@Snoopa I wouldnt have even thought twice about an electric blanket and the fact your OB has okayed it, Id just go for it. But if you are not 100% sure with your decision, maybe an oil heater in your room to take the chill out of the air?
Im the opposite at night, 9 degrees here and Im sleeping with undies and a sheet Im that hot!

@Snoopa the only reason id be concerned would be cos babys dont like when our temp gets too high thats why our baths have to be lukewarm and boring but if your Ob okayed it then im sure its ok, they wouldn't lead you astray 😊

Great scan photos girls!! Your babies look so cute and snuggled in!!

Those with children, do you worry about picking them up/carrying them? My DS is about 14kgs and I try to take him out in his pram but sometimes he wants to be carried and feels so heavy! I hope I'm not doing any damage.
@MrsBMum2be I hope you feel better soon. I've had some stomach issues for a week and a half and I agree it absolutely sucks not being able to take anything!!

    Default IVF Babies due Sep/Oct/Nov 2017 #2

@Willowglen DS is 16-17kgs and Im just generally not capable of carrying him for long periods, I do worry about him sitting on my belly for long periods occasionally though.
@MrsBMum2be I hope you feel better soon, so frustrating suffering with a cold with so little we can take!

On no @MrsBMum2be I was hoping it would have been gone for you. Hope your managing to rest up.

I'm feeling really yuk today and miserable, must be the hormones, so different to the high I was on yesterday

@Willowglen my DD is about 20kgs and I do try to avoid carrying her, but I haven't been able to do so comfortably for a while anyway. It's probably something to be careful of as we do get bigger since your body will be under strain with baby growing and ligaments relaxing.
@MrsBMum2be I hope it eases up soon!

I'm had my first appointment at the antenatal clinic yesterday and they were very supportive of trying for a VBAC The midwife also suggested it was a good idea to have the flu vaccine. I normally don't bother but she said it can hit you a lot harder when pregnant, so I'm keen to hear others thoughts?? I was pregnant from July - March last time so it wasn't something that was raised.

Really love my doppler if anyone else is still considering getting one. I've only used it a couple of times but it's really helped ease my anxiety about not knowing whether or not bub is ok, just because it's there if I need a bit of reassurance. Just booked in my anatomy scan on the 25th, so excited for that milestone!

Thanks ladies, I'll try to avoid carrying DS a bit more. @bubbletrouble, I had the flu vaccine at about 10 weeks. I get it every year though as I work in health care. I couldn't agree more about the Doppler! I love the reassurance it gives. I also only use it occasionally but it's great.
Afm I forgot to mention that I think I might be starting to feel some movement. It feels like little flutters. I can't remember when I felt it last time but I'm currently 15+5.
