Another anecdotal option to trial is the drug Metformin. I personally don't exactly understand how it makes a difference ... something to do with evening out 'something' that seems to make a difference for PCOS and fertility. I am of the belief it had been instrumental in our positive pregnancy tests. Something to query your doctor about?

@meelou fertility clinics have lots of treatment options, not just IVF. If you go on their website a clomid cycle will come under the treatment 'ovulation induction'. It's much cheaper than IVF. The clinic will do lots of tests on you and your hubby first to make sure there aren't any other issues and determine the best treatment option. Best of luck!

Yes try clinic first and get on metformin if you can. Another good thing to take is inositol and foliate. It'll help regulate everything for you. If clinic doesn't work you can always do IUI which is again much cheaper than Ivf. Sounds like you've got a plan, going to see a specialist. There are lots of options before going for Ivf

Day 50 still not into my next cycle yet.. my partner needs to get onto Medicare before we can see a specialist. He's from NZ but lives in Australia now. Otherwise the consults and testing will cost an arm and a leg. Might get another pregnancy test today, any recommendations on a good brand?

If you are with Medicare, I'd suggest getting a referral from your gp to a gynae. You can get clomid from them and the consult is free.

An update, my last cycle was 69 days. Longest one yet! I've had my first appointment with the fertility clinic and now have to get a heap of testing done at certain times of my cycle. So need to wait for my next one to start, fingers crossed it's a 30 day cycle not a 60 one! Then to see the specialist after results are back.

    Hey rhia,
I saw a fertility specialist a few weeks ago and need to get a heap of testing done at certain times of my cycle. I have to wait for my next cycle to get my second blood test and my scan done. Then I will know from there what my options are. My last cycle was 69 days. It's frustrating!

I hope it all goes well for you give us an update. Through my doctor i have had an internal scan plus bloods including amh which was 86

Im new to all this aswell so im not sure what further testing i might need. The waiting game is the hardest when you just want to get the process started. I am praying that all i will need if for AF to be induced and clomid will do the trick.
