    Default Uncomfortable belly

I'm only 4 weeks and wearing any of my trousers/jean etc is irritating around my belly.
I don't want to buy mat clothes yet but can't keep getting about with my buttons undone.
I'm not any bigger yet, it just feels uncomfortable having anything there.
Did anyone else have this problem in early pregnancy that resolved quickly?
I didn't have it last time.

I had the same experience very early in and bought an expander thingy from Baby Bunting...but it's only suitable for pants with round buttons.

Kmart has maternity jeans/denim shorts for $20 - super comfy

Since week 7(i think) i've been feeling quite bloated and while i can fit in my pants in the morning, it gets quite uncomfortable by lunchtime/mid-afternoon. I have been using the "elastic band trick" since then as, like you, i can't just go about with my buttons undone and risk a pretty awkward situation.

I thread an elastic band through the button hole, lock it in and wrap the long end around the button. It holds the pants together and give a bit of extra room so that i don't feel like my pants are cutting me in half.
On really bad days I need to do that with the zipper as well.
It's easier with pictures so here

    Hope this helps a bit

I bought some second hand mat jeans today (I'm 11 weeks), and I WISH I'd bought them weeks ago. I was very uncomfortable from week 8, but pushed through because I thought it was too early to wear maternity clothes. But these jeans with a long top are fine even though I don't really have a belly yet. I'd start wearing them much earlier if I were going to get pregnant again.

I'm only 5 weeks but so bloated and have already bought two pairs of maternity jeans from Kmart and they are so comfortable! Might treat myself to a nice pair when I start showing.

I've had to do the elastic band trick since I was about 6 weeks. It's my second pregnancy and even though I knew body changes tend to progress a bit quicker in subsequent pregnancies I was very surprised! My belly is pushing out, but because I've got a bit of padding in that area it just looks like I've developed a serious muffin top :/ Really looking forward to looking unmistakeably pregnant!

I work in a gym and usually wear workout leggings. I've had to go back to my old ones I wore when I was larger as my current ones being tight on my bloated tummy was awful and made me feel nauseated. I noticed it at 5-6 weeks. I'm now 8.5 weeks and the bloat hasn't subsided at all.

I went and bought Maternity jeans (Kmart) and leggings at 10 weeks. Under the bump. Also bought a belly band to expand pants. Stay comfy!!!
