Ok ladies need advice - I am starting a medicated cycle for ivf transfer. I haven't done one of these before. Progestrone and some tablet starting with P.

Anyone had success on a cycle like this ?

Is anyone else on their first cycle? I expect that I'll start in a bit over a week, and although I didn't think I was anxious, I must be subconsciously because I feel like I'm losing the plot emotionally. My poor DH is copping all the arguments anyone got any tips for keeping myself on an even keel? There's not even any hormones involved yet...

    Hi ladies

Jumping on this thread after a failed FET last month.

I'm just waiting for ovulation - hopefully transfer will be late next week.

I haven't been able to see my FS to debrief about the unsuccessful transfer but she has changed my protocol - more (and different) progesterone!

    Good luck everyone

@jussi first cycle is full of unknowns so very normal to feel anxious - it's a stressful time.

Just take care of yourself and don't be afraid to express how you're feeling with DH - bottling it up makes it worse.

    Wishing you all the best

    Hi everyone!

I've taken a little break from the boards for a couple of weeks but I'll jump back in here now...

I'm 35 years old, have two older children from previously relationship (had them young at 18 and 21 years of age, so they are 13 and 17 years old now) and have been TTC 2.5 years now for my husbands 1st child. We had a very successful egg retrieval and got 12 day 5 hatching blastocytes to freeze which is incredible. We've had 2 failed FET's now, last one being a chemical.

Had a third transferred yesterday so am now 1dp5dt. It's really hard to stay optomistic after failed transfers :/ I had to go straight into a 12 hour night shift last night too and it was HECTIC (in a paediatric emergency department) and I hardly sat the whole night so this embryo will have to be a real fighter to make it I think!
@seasalt - hope you have better luck this cycle than last, fingers are crossed for you xx Is the change in progesterone due to your levels last cycle? My clinic don't test progesterone levels and I wonder if this could be a issue for us?
@KarmaJane - sorry about your bfn last cycle, enjoy your break...I think I'll be having one if this cycle fails. Physically I'm coping pretty well, but emotionally I'm starting to break.
@cag14 - I hope this is your lucky cycle too. I do medicated FET cycles with progesterone and Progynova (oestrogen). I start the Progynova on day 1 of my cycle, increase the dose every 4 days and then start progesterone once my lining is over 8mm and have my transfer roughly 5 days from there. I've been incredibly lucky and don't get a huge amount of side effects from the drugs, all very bearable. I hope the change in protocol gets you your BFP
@jussi - The first cycle is exciting but a bit overwhelming. I hope you are one of those awesome stories that get lucky on the first round xx
@munchkin14 - enjoy the little break, and I hope you come back refreshed and feel positive and the next cycle is the lucky one. Great news that all your blood test results were normal

Mumma2be13 - sorry about your last cycle failing. So disheartening isn't it? I hope AF comes quickly for you so you can start the next cycle. I'm lucky mine arrives about 3-4 days after stopping the progesterone.

    @ItsMeSandy - welcome back.
I am in the same boat as you with trying to stay optimistic after failed transfers. I transferred one in June, then July then egg collection August with transfer December another egg collection JAN with nothing then another egg collection march with 3 good eggs. So now I'm more nervous then ever with all my cycles cancelled and issues with cycles since June. I am grateful for the 3 eggs but am so nervous.
I haven't done a medicated cycle before. And I just found out today if we don't fall before December work may not except any more tries.

My husband goes away in two weeks for the rest of the year and I become a single parent doing ivf again and it scares me so much.

I don't think I can possibly do another failed cycle.

@cag14 - you've had a really rough time with all this. It has to be your turn for a happy ending! And it must be extra hard doing it on your own. Hats off to you!
@Mumma2be13 - How frustrating waiting so long to go again! Hope AF arrives very soon for you.

Hi everyone. It's been a while but we're back at it. Have you noticed your cycles have changed after having medicated cycles? We did the retrieval and transfers for 3 months straight and now my very predictable 28 day cycle is extended by 2 weeks!

Still no period waiting for it to start this cycle. Fourth cycle and I hope this will be it. I can't handle the pressure
