Default First pregnancy - when did your bump show?

Hit 16 Weeks today and now that the first trimester bloating (where some days I looked 6 months pregnant) has died down, I don't have a bump anymore! Just the same little 'haven't been to the gym in a few months' pooch I had pre-pregnancy.

Is this normal? I thought I would be showing by now. Heard the heartbeat a few days ago during a midwife appointment so I know baby is still in there but otherwise feeling very un-pregnant, which is quite unsettling and the 20 week scan is feeling a long way away.

I think it's normal. Every pregnancy is different they say

I am a chunky monkey - I was 93kg before I fell pregnant. I didn't start showing until about 22 weeks along. So frustrating, especially since it's my first! I am now 29 weeks and still wishing to be bigger than I am, lol.

    All in good time

I didn't show until 6months with my first then bam that belly was all baby and my bum was all fat lol
I was probably slimmer than you at 49kg per preg to 62kg at full term. I have a tiny frame.

When I was pregnant with my first I was a lot thinnner than I am now, and did a lot of excercise so had well toned stomach muscles.

I can remember wearing normal clothes to my first appointment with my obstetrician at around the 19 week mark. I started to look chubby after that but didn't really get a baby bump until around the 24 week mark.

Everyone is different though. I'm quite tall and my babies have a lot room to stretch out. I know some people who start showing straight away.

My bump started to feel bumpy at 16 weeks (it was still a pretty small bump though!) but as above, every pregnancy is different and everyone carries differently. You look like you've got quite a long torso, so baby likely has more vertical space to stretch out instead of popping outwards

Had my first when I was 29 and started showing at 26week I woke up and my belly had gone pop over night. With my second I'd just turned 39 and I went pop but only slightly at 20weeks but by 28weeks I was showing more.

Thanks everyone. It's reassuring to know that it can vary so much from person to person - I just need to be a bit more patient I guess!
