    Default In the night garden?

Does anyone else think that the ABC kids show 'In the night garden' is some weird hypnotic? DD is not really into tv but when that show comes on she goes a bit glazed-eyed and it's almost like she's hypnotized it's great as it gives me a chance to sneak off and do a few things while she's transfixed.
This afternoon I put it on iview for the first time as DH and I were both busy cooking dinner and it worked a treat!

Haha yes DD loved it, was the only TV show that held her attention until she was over 2. Then one day she just wasn't interested anymore!

My DS turned 3 a month ago and is still transfixed by it. All I can say is the creators of the show must know what they're doing when it comes to captivating toddlers and preschoolers.. but it looks like freaky-@rse nonsense to me! Lol.

    Haha...that's funny.
The Night Garden is made by the same folk who made Teletubbies, which was equally weird...
In the Night Garden is actually made to wind children down before sleeping rather than hype them up...and it seems to work!

ds loves this. he squeals and crows at the tv if i put it on (usually to get a bit of quiet while i'm doing something like preparing dinner). it's a bit weird i agree but it gets the job done

I don't know if it's hypnotic to kids, but I do think the creators were on something when they came up with it

It always captivated my kids too, but I thought it was the weirdest show out there. Thankfully we don't do normal to much anymore. Both kids (7 and 5) prefer to watch one of their movies or the Star Wars Rebels/Clone Wars/Lego episodes instead.

By far the weirdest show i have ever had to watch. I personally can not stand abc kids shows. I get sarcastic and nasty lol no idea why. My kids never really liked it thank gosh and they didn't like the wiggles!! Winning

I freakin love that show! Whatever psychological tricks they've used to captivate and sooth toddlers clearly works on me too. The music, the scenery, the narrator (who's also a respected Shakespearean actor btw), it's all perfect.
Though I remember seeing snippets of it back in my pre-baby days and thinking "what the hell are these people on"
