Default WWYD - chicken left out overnight?

Just wondering what others would do in this situation - last night I took marinated chicken wings out of the freezer and put them on the bench intending to leave them out for an hour or so before putting in the fridge to defrost overnight. Well I forgot to put them in the fridge so they were left on the bench for about 12 hours and definitely room temperature this morning.
WWYD? Would you cook them and eat them or chuck them?

I'm clearly in the minority lol.

I've risked cooking chicken just past the used by date and also refrozen chicken that had thawed but was still cold.

I think I would risk it if it was a large chunk that would take a few hours to defrost and probably had only been at room temp for a couple of hours. I mean when I buy chicken from supermarket/ butchers it can sit in trolley or car for an hour or two easy before making it to the fridge. And it's not been very warm overnight.

Mind you, I probably wouldn't serve it to my kids. Not that they eat any normal food anyway lol.

ETA : and marinades full of preservatives and stuff right?

It was only half kg of chicken wings so I think it would have stayed cold for maybe 5-6 hours so it's been room temperature for a long time. The wings were for dd and me as DH has lamb chops (yuck!). I don't think I can eat them now

I'd just like to add I regularly thaw my meat on the bench. I'm not that great at planning ahead to defrost in the fridge like you are meant to.
    No issues here *touch wood*

Even if they are still good the idea is in your head now that they could be bad so you won't enjoy it. Yeah I'd bin them.
