    I want him to understand what a good role model is but he hasn't really ever had one. He thinks a good worker makes a good man. Trying to get him to understand what I and the family need as a good man.
    I don't think not having a good role model is an excuse he can or should use. My partner didn't have one either. He grew up in foster care. When we got pregnant he got out of debt, we moved to a nicer house and he's worked hard to get into a better paying job for us. He's now trying to work his way up so I can stay at home with the kids for a few years. Every pay he puts money into our savings account and money into each of our children's accounts.

    He works hard to be the amazing parent he never had.

    Maybe word it to him like that. That he should strive to be a better parent than what he had.

    It's nice to know i'm not the only one.

    I'm putting my foot down, we're seeing the councillor, he needs to understand it's no longer about him anymore. I don't have the energy to pull him through like i used to
