14 weeks and 6 days exactly!

When I told my doctor he proceeded to tell me that as this is my first baby, and being that I have an anterior placenta, I couldn't possibly be feeling the baby move yet.

But it was! I was very aware of it, even though the movements were feather-light.

So, if you were feeling movement early, but hadn't felt any for a while, would you worry, or has the baby just moved to a different spot?

I think i was feeling movement at 13-14 weeks, but i don't think I've felt any for about the last week or so - i'm now 16 weeks.

Cause for worry, or could it be normal as baby is so small? Do i need to gdt checked out?

I guess it would depend on what sort of movements you were feeling. At 16 weeks there's not much that they can do, short of listening to the HR with a Doppler. It's way too early to use a CTG and at 16 weeks it's going to be difficult to really be certain what you're feeling is baby. I would mention it to your care provider, but I think you're just going to have to ride it out to a point where you're getting consistent movements that you *know* are baby for sure.

    These are interesting replies!

I'm 13 weeks along with my first pregnancy. The sonographer told me because of the position of my placenta I probably wouldn't feel movement until around the 20 week mark. I feel such strange sensations in there, though! Like something is practising doing forward rolls inside me. My digestion has changed so radically, though, that I'm not convinced that I'm feeling the baby.

11 weeks with my first baby and yes i had an anterior placenta.

12 weeks this time with my second. No idea where the placenta is have not been told.

Early movements feel like a weird butterly sensation inside.

Definitely over 20 weeks. There might have been things before but no definite baby kicks till then.
