Sorry, had to. You can live with the knowledge thread #1 still sits at around 1000 posts. They just get too big and cumbersome. I mean, this is just the continuation of that thread, so really... it's all goooooooood!

Default Am I The Only Thread Killer #2

Our local RSPCA have asked for wet cat food so I went and got some and have it in the boot to drop off. They are also having a "promotion" this weekend - $50 to adopt a cat or dog. I need to walk in there, drop off the food and walk back out. I don't think I can do it. I'll end up a crying mess lol.

You're a good person to care. I have a friend who is involved with animal welfare and is always posting cats and kittens for adoption. I miss having cats, and would adopt one in a heartbeat, but haven't managed to wear DH down. He reckons he's allergic, but really he just hates cats. No reason to apart from his Dad did and the attitude has seeped down.

I have two cats but now I really want a dog so badly. Mum won't let me though, she's so mean! Just get a cat and bring it home... surprise DH!

I would love to adopt a cat but we have one and we have tried having a second cat and our cat is just mean to them. She is a solo animal. She's wonderful to us, just hates cats.

Give yourself one for your birthday. Or Christmas. Or just because.

I like the way you both think.
@HearMeRoar, I hope your Mum relents! We have a dog - a beautiful border collie. She's such a beautiful pup. So good with the kids and has such a lovely nature. She's 11 and while I think she's starting to get arthritis, she still behaves like she's 6 months old half the time
