10 months on her hands and knees, I was so worried about how long she was taking until she actually got on the move, then I realised what a blessing it had been to have an immobile baby for such a long time!

DS was normal crawling a few days before 9 months. I remember reading back then that average is between 8-10 months, so I always said he was bang on average!

DD1 & DD2 are 5 months in 11 days, and I cannot even imagine them crawling yet! They haven't even figured out rolling just yet.

DS1 was 5 months up on hands and knees. He was doing full rolls across the room at 3 months. He could sit unsupported at 4.5 months. He walked at 8 months 1 week. By 9 months he was running flat out. To be honest it was awful.

DS2 commando crawled from 8.5 - 11 months, hands and knees then walking at 13 months. Far more pleasant.

DS3 is 8 months and spinning in circles and going backwards. Will be a while yet thankfully.

I've never understood people who want their kids mobile early. It is so hard b cause they don't understand no or stop. DS1 used to just smash into things because he would take off laughing with glee and not watching where he was going.

Agree! The amount of times each day DS2 falls down and smacks his head on the floor is just awful! I can't even go to the bathroom safely anymore as he's always climbing something and falling down or crawling under something and getting stuck.

14 months for my DD. She walked first, at 9 months holding our hands then 12 months independently. Was fabulous! Even when she started walking she needed something to pull up on so if I put her in the middle of a room she would stay there. She never rolled either. 1st time she crawled was on the soft floor at kindergym.

    DS was 8-9 months

My DS commando crawled at just under 6 months and then hands & knees crawled at 7 months. He took his first steps at 10 months and was walking at 11 months. He always took awhile to master the skills though, so with his walking he spent ages doing a few steps before he decided he would like to walk everywhere
