Default When did your baby start crawling - and which style?

caught up with a friend today who has a bubba who just started crawling - at 5 months

she is so cute - does a little commando crawl and then gets up on hands and knees. Can get up a good speed too.

When did your bubba start crawling - and what style?

Ds started crawling at 5.5 months normally ! He saw something he wanted and he was off! He walked at 10 months !

Dd was 6 weeks early and didn't crawl until 9 months not corrected ( I didn't worry about things like that) and walked at 13 months

DD commando crawled at 10 months. Hands and knees at about 1. I really stressed about how late she got moving.
DS is 5 months and already doing 360's on his tummy so not far away from crawling I think!
Hard to believe two siblings can be so different.

About 9 months. But she was pulling herself up to stand then too. And walk along furmiture. She mainly got frustrated when crawling (she walked at 10 months and has always preferred walking).

    Dd1- 9 months
    Dd2-10.5 months
    Typical crawling style.
Dd1 never rolled until she crawled either.
Both walking just after 1st birthday.

I cannot comprehend babies being mobile at such a young age!!!
Man it was a blessing when mobile as they no longer whined for things they couldn't reach, but at that age the beauty was plonking them down somewhere (like to wash up/go to toilet) and knowing they would still be there when you came back!

8 months crawling normally. She was going backwards and in circles for a while before that, but I can't remember exactly how long.

Our DD was 9 months on the 1st & has been commando crawling since 8.5 months. She gets up on hands & knees, rocks like she wants to then gives up cause she knows she can move & fast if she commandos it lol
