Default How far do you drive/ travel to school?

Have found a house I love but it's a 20 minute drive from my kids school. Love the school, don't really want to move my kids.

Currently we live 2 minutes (in the car) from their school.

So wondering how far do you travel to your kids school?

Am I crazy even considering moving this far away from the school?

We drive 25 minutes each way to DS2's school. It's not ideal and to be honest if we could afford to live closer we would in a heartbeat!

It takes us about 30 mins each way of a morning and 20 on the way home in the afternoon, it's really not that bad and from 3rd class he can get a bus and still be home by 4pm which is about the same time as the local kids , for me the school is more important than the distance!

Walking distance and wouldn't have it any other way personally. I wouldn't move 20 minutes away from our schools. Way too far for us. We were a 15 minute commute with traffic at the beginning of school life and I HATED it. We rarely are in the car for more than 10 minutes and love being able to walk/ride as much as possible.

25-30mins depending on traffic to School no1 and than another 5-10mins depending on traffic to school no2. Love where we live. Love school no2. School no1 is a they only trade school in our part of the state. Kids come from all over to attend. They even brought a local motel to house out of town kids.

9 minutes away. For our town, it's practically the furthest school away from where we live, on the opposite side of town!

I wouldn't live that far from my kids' school.

ETA - our school is walking distance. It's less than 1km

We live 10 minutes away but it's on my way to work. I just have to duck off the major road 50m. I then get back on the road and drive another 5-7 min to work. 7. So whether it would be in the right direction would be a major factor for me.

I cant see all the posts thanks to a app glitch, but I would love to be walking distance. We have a Catholic school just across the road, we're separated by a wide nature strip and if we were to ever go private I'd send them there - it would be so convenient to let them walk to school!

10 mins walk and a 3 min drive. 2 roads to cross (local) if we walk. But lots of zig zagging if we drive
