    Default Cricket themed party help!!

Oh wise ladies of Bub hub I need your help! My DS1 is turning 8 and wants a cricket birthday party.
Please show me your birthday cakes, invitations, party bag/ favour ideas, as I am struggling to come up with much, and trusty old google is not really helping.
    Thanks!

Ooh you could do a cricket bat cake or cricket ball cake pops or cricket ball toffee apples - you could use cricket bats as cheese platters! Make pretzel and cheese wickets or on eBay you can get cricket water bottle labels or chocolate wrappers, popcorn boxes - you might be able to find cricket cup cake cases and make chocolate crackles or honey joys or make it green and gold themed ?
Favours? Um maybe instead of lollies you might be able to find cricket caps or t shirts or I think bigW has cricket sticker books or mini beach cricket sets?
    Hope that helps!

Thanks guys! I am thinking I might outsource the cake, my attempts at "grass" icing in the past have not been a great success! I managed to get some cricket balls for party favours, but will have a look for sticker books to go with. I did see some invitations on eBay, feels like it might be coming together a bit better now!

You could do something like this one from the Aust Women's Weekly Birthday Cakes book. It's using coloured sugar for grass and jelly crystals for the pitch. I'm sure I've seen the same thing with coloured coconut too. I love ones with toys as toppers. Quick and easy

Their tip for grass coloured green icing is to "tint buttercream green, then add a few drops of red and blue to give it a rich deep green colour"
