    Default What age do children start to lose teeth?

    My ds is 4 he will be 5 at the end of July and I have noticed in the last few weeks that a couple of his bottom teeth are moving around as in there is now a gap between two of them and one is a bit crooked. He bit into a carrot the other day and said his tooth was falling out. He wouldn't let me touch it to see if it was wobbly but I had a look and it looked ok. Today he said it was wobbly again and this time I saw him move it with his finger. Is he to young for his teeth to be starting to fall out? I didn't think that happened until about 6 years old. What age was your child when their first tooth fell out?

    My daughter lost her first one a few weeks before her 5th birthday and her second tooth fell out last week (she turned 5 in early feb).

    My daughter and her best friend started losing theirs in pre-prep so that would have been age 4.

    Anywhere from 4-7 is about normal I think.

    Some of my ds's friends lost teeth in prep, he didn't lose his first until he was 6.5 and in grade 2. Some of his friends have lost 5-6 teeth already he's only lost 2.

    DS lost his first one at 5.5 when he was in kindy but one of his friends lost 2 when he was only 4.5

    They vary between kids. DD1 was nearly 8, DD2 6 and DD3 was 5. DD4 is still yet to lose any teeth at 5 and doesn't look like that will happen soon either.

    Ds1 lost his first at 5yrs. He is almost 8 now and has lost 8 teeth (two came out somewhat prematurely due to an accident).
