    Default Time share for holidays

    Does anyone use this?
What's the difference between timeshare and booking your holidays direct, yearly etc

timeshare is when you pay a fee to have a yearly allocation of time in a place. Each place has different rules but mostly, you can accrue your time up to a max (say if you have 1 week per year, you might be able to accrue 3 or 4 weeks) but after that you must use it or lose it.

You pay a management fee each year, and often if you want others to use your allocation you must pay an admin fee.

They can be cheap IF you go to that place EVERY year. But it does lock you into that place.

My parents have one - and although the sales pitch is that there are heaps of them around the world and you can swap or use another venue etc - they are quite restrictive when you go to book it so they have never managed to go anywhere else.
