Just got my PGS testing back of the two embryos tested... 1 is suitable for transfer the other had an extra chromosome as well as one missing so wouldn't have made it very far. So that leaves the one in the womb currently that I didn't test - official blood test tomorrow. I don't know if I feel relieved or nervous now...

Either way, you've got one definite good one - possibly two - I'd be bouncing off walls with excitement! That's pretty awesome

Yeah! Not bad for only having collected 5 eggs to begin with. 1 was damaged in pickup one was damaged due to ICSI which left just three. And I'm going to look on the bright side... you only need one and hopefully that's my bonus. Thanks @Chmeille

    Default Ivf pgd

@cag14, sorry to hear... what's the process for FET? Was it a lining issue/hormone issue? I'm out too, had I guess what they call a chemical pregnancy now to go ahead with the FET or try to get some more eggs out... it's hard to trust the FS as it all seems like a guessing game... now to wait for the appointment and AF I guess. Sorry for the duplicate post (from the other page).

Now has anyone heard of the aneuploid self correcting? I read that PGS actually lessons your chances at having a baby (with advanced maternal age) as they rule out most embryos. There haven been studies that embryos implanted as an aneuploid have resulted in healthy live births, as the cells they test are actually placenta cells... and the baby cells can "self correct". I sent an email to the embryologist after receiving a thank you letter for my donation. I just hope I didn't condemn a hopefully for science.

@cag14 sorry to hear - how frustrating for you.
@augieandaddie I've never heard of it but sounds interesting. Going to Google it.

@augieandaddie I have heard of that no- and I'm sorry you got a BFN.

Ladies can I be honest I really like talking with you both. Wish I could when I'm upset.

I have read quite a lot on this issue and it seems that the self correcting happens with embryos biopsied at 3 days as opposed to those biopsied at 5 or 6 days. Dr Geoffrey Sher ( Las Vegas) has some views on this subject. So those biopsied at 5 or 6 days and found to be chromosomally abnormal are much less likely to self correct.

Thanks @greenlady, I didn't think they could biopsy at 3 days... mine were 5 day blastocyst. That brings a bit of relief... I'll have a read.
