After 2 cancelled cycles, 1 chemical pregnancy we decided to put 2x3d embies back on our 4th cycle. It resulted in twins. We had 6 embryos frozen, so far we've had no luck with 2 FET. I'm currently in the TWW for the 3rd FET.

    Default How did you decide?

No issues. Born at 37 +5.
We had unexplained fertility and this was our 8th cycle. Mix of frozen and fresh cycles. I was 36 when I conceived.
    Hi Babycake,
We have had 4 failed transfers; and 2 miscarriages. We have good quality embryos; 5 day blastocysts with no fragmentation. We are thinking of transferring 2 embryos this time but a tough decision as I am not sure what to do given the risks. How did you decide to transfer 2? Any advice would be appreciated!
    Thanks.

It is perfectly legal here in Australia you have to push for it though. Really push for it. I told my FS my money my choice.

Wow I didn't know that!!!! I'm on my 2nd cycle now, would it be too late to try push for it? I've seen my doctor already... I'm on the long protocol now. What would I say?

Anyone had this done through Genea????

I've had three transfers of 2 x five day embryos. Resulted in 1 x singleton pregnancy but miscarried.
Had two transfers of 3 x five day embies resulting in one singleton and one set of twins.

Genea more than likely will try to not let you transfer 2. Get the FS. To change it to 2 to transfer if there are 2 embies at transfer.

I'm not trying to be rude by may I ask your age. Better still the chances of double transfer increase after 35yrs of age r multiple failed cycles. But you can push for it.

It's not the law, merely a guideline recommending single transfers. There is nothing written in law against 2 embie transfers.

Thanks to Blondeinbrisvegas for that little bit of golden information.

What's FS? I'm 35 at the end of the year. My husband has a mutated gene that causes MND, thankfully his progression is slow however still not an ideal situation for us to be in! I've asked our doctor and she said no to a double transfer... I wonder if I can push again...

I've only had 1 "failed" cycle. They retrieved 3 eggs, only 1 which made it to the end but tested positive for the defective gene...

Fertility Specialist. Ours did 2 as we had done a couple of failed cycles already. She also makes you sign a waiver so she's not liable for multiples.
