    6.45 is ok, hope you don't have too long a drive to the clinic / hospital. I like it being early morning, means you don't really get a chance to think too much about fasting and being so thirsty before they take you in!
    So I have to call the clinic tomorrow morning to find out fertilisation rates - so nervous! 6 or 7 would be nice but I'm trying not too have too many expectations.

    Yeah I definitely prefer to go in as early as I can for collection- I take quite a while to get out of recovery normally. I'm crossing my fingers for high fertilisation rates for you @nettz84!!

    Hi everyone

    This is my first IVF cycle. My husband and I have been trying for our first baby together for nearly 2 years (I have a 13 year old step son).

    I just want to ask anyone who has been through this before. Do you go to sleep at egg collection? Or just local anaesthetic?

    Good luck hopeful137, trust me when I say don't want OhSS and bigger numbers isn't necessarily better. My first stim was 3 eggs, all went to day 5 and ended up with two babies. Last stim was 26 eggs, 8 day 5 embies, 1 miscarried due to chromosome issues and 3 bfn. I would definitely just think quality over quantity.

    I have done two egg collections 2013 and 2016. I do go fully to sleep and don't remember any of it. I do find them painful after though and am usually on fairly high pain meds. That's just me though I think as others in recovery around me usually wake up and are gone without anything. Good luck

    Hi @LaylaMac!
    I have had 3 egg collections all last year, and I go completely under..
    My second collection was the most painful and I got the least amount of eggs but I think one of my ovaries was being tricky that day and hiding behind something so the FS said he had to do lots of poking around. I do also take strong pain relief though but find a few days later I'm back to normal!
