6.45 is ok, hope you don't have too long a drive to the clinic / hospital. I like it being early morning, means you don't really get a chance to think too much about fasting and being so thirsty before they take you in!
So I have to call the clinic tomorrow morning to find out fertilisation rates - so nervous! 6 or 7 would be nice but I'm trying not too have too many expectations.

Yeah I definitely prefer to go in as early as I can for collection- I take quite a while to get out of recovery normally. I'm crossing my fingers for high fertilisation rates for you @nettz84!!

    Default Hi :)

    Hi everyone

This is my first IVF cycle. My husband and I have been trying for our first baby together for nearly 2 years (I have a 13 year old step son).

I just want to ask anyone who has been through this before. Do you go to sleep at egg collection? Or just local anaesthetic?

    Thanks in advance

Good count nettz84 and sounding promising krispybacon

Good luck hopeful137, trust me when I say don't want OhSS and bigger numbers isn't necessarily better. My first stim was 3 eggs, all went to day 5 and ended up with two babies. Last stim was 26 eggs, 8 day 5 embies, 1 miscarried due to chromosome issues and 3 bfn. I would definitely just think quality over quantity.

I have done two egg collections 2013 and 2016. I do go fully to sleep and don't remember any of it. I do find them painful after though and am usually on fairly high pain meds. That's just me though I think as others in recovery around me usually wake up and are gone without anything. Good luck

    Hi @LaylaMac!
I have had 3 egg collections all last year, and I go completely under..
My second collection was the most painful and I got the least amount of eggs but I think one of my ovaries was being tricky that day and hiding behind something so the FS said he had to do lots of poking around. I do also take strong pain relief though but find a few days later I'm back to normal!
