Hurtful. Stupid. Well-meant probably, but hurtful and stupid regardless.

You know, I'm not really sure. Wine? A good circle of ivf buddies I met here? I think the fact that the ET's I did have were successful at least initially gave me the sniff of success, (until cycles 9&10), I figured our luck would turn. I guess I always had another backup plan in mind before each cycle, so when it failed each time I knew I still wasn't quite done. By the time I hit cycle 11 I had no more backup plans, I was emotionally physically and financially getting to the end of how far I would push myself - travelling OS for treatment really adds to the pressure. On my last trip I was in Greece for 2 nights and back at work on a Wednesday, ridiculous. And then cycle 11 worked, so I didn't have to decide whether I would try again. We have spare embryos but I won't use them.

    Good Morning ladies.
@Vixjc your story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. You are one strong woman! I'm very sorry for the loss of your precious DS3. Hugs.

Your ex is an absolute douche bag for making that comment!

Those feelings are familiar to me too.

Three of my closest friends pretty much ditched me after they had kids. They would only see me if I made the effort. At first I was happy to make the effort to help them out, but after a few years I realised they really weren't interested in maintaining our friendship, they would rather hang out with other parents. So I'm very much a loner (with the HB) these days.

I don't want to talk to my family... my sister just sent me her 9 week scan (my last failed transfer was 11 weeks ago). I'm trying to be happy her for, but I'm just not there yet. Plus our families are likely to say or do sometime to make us feel even more crap... not deliberately but they have a talent!

The infertility process is horrible enough, but dealing with the lack of consideration from people who haven't been through this, sometimes even some who have, just makes it soooooooooo much worse. Gosh is suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks!

Yes it really does. Hugs to you and cag both, the alienation is one of the worst parts of all this.

How are you @Tinachris ? You sounded so flat in your last post. I mean besides the obvious.
