yes @Chocolate Rain i'd recommend finding a counselor who deals with infertility - there's us no way i'd see a counselor who has no knowledge about infertility donor info etc find one if you need it, yes? they can be so understanding and just someone to bounce thoughts and feelings off

Good call @Tinachris I will seek out someone experienced in this area.

Gosh @Billie2 who tipped the family off? Families can be so nosey sometimes! I shut my MIL out of anything baby related a few years ago after she sent me a text message saying she knew someone's daughter who bought a fertility spell off eBay and that might help me

Hi ladies, I've been reading along for a while, what a great group you have going:-). This thread is such an awesome idea, ivf is really ****eful and the only ones who genuinely get that are the ones who have been in it.

My story is in my signature I think, but in summary, 6xOE cycles but 4 of those were cancelled (no response to meds despite amh of 12.9), the only embryo transferred became an ectopic. Then we did 5x DE (donor egg) cycles in Greece. First de resulted in miscarriage, 2nd in my gorgeous Ds1, 3rd and 4th were BFN, 5th resulted in twins DS2 and DS3. DS3 was stillborn at 38+3.

I know I'm lucky, because eventually I got my family. But damn we suffered along the way, and it wasn't helped by the well meaning muppets around us. 'Just relax'. 'People get pregnant at your age all the time'. But the worst things, being approached by a complete stranger at a charity event who said 'I hear you're doing donor eggs' (my SIL was telling people), and when I ran into an ex recently - it was 8 weeks after the birth of my twins and when I said we'd done 11 rounds and had recently lost our youngest he said 'well that's an adventure!'. WTAF?

Some people are just idiots, so embrace those that get it :-). Good luck ladies, may you all have much more happiness and much less heartbreak by the end of your ivf path.

@Vixjc what a wonderful but also sad journey you and your family have had.

What made you get through the hard times?

And I agree with you on people are idiots.
