How was epu @LillyM? It's good to go in with no expectations and I think when you're at the end you just know it and a kind of calm takes over and an acceptance that you have no control over the outcome so it's not worth pouring energy into it.

Waiting patiently along with you @Charlie74

Default The off load IVF page

Thanks for the kind words ladies.

    EPU went well and smoothly.
I had 8 eggs retrieved but should have 5 mature according to last scan so let's see tomorrow how many fertilised out of those 5...
@Charlie74 good on you guys, really great that you managed to enjoy your weekend despite everything!
As I said before, this bloody circus teaches us so much about ourselves and the things we can deal with!
Having a good weekend while expecting bad news, I mean when you think about it, that's awesomeness right there!!!

Anyway I might go and have a mini nap.
Thanks again for dropping me a line on your Easter weekend girls, means a lot! xxx

Good news @Lilym. I hope you aren't too sore.
@Charlie74 I think they give them to day 6 and then call and let you know. Hope you aren't left hanging in limbo too long tomorrow morning.

Hope everyone had a good long weekend. I was given a large bunny. I ate the ears last night fully intending to make it last a week. I polished the rest of it off this afternoon and now feel ill. I guess the best thing is I had no guilt in attacking it.

That's good news @LillyM! 50% fertilisation is pretty damn good!
Will have fingers & toes crossed for day 5 for you X

I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to call Monash today or wait for them to call me?? Maybe I'll wait till 12 & call & ask what's happening if I still haven't heard..

So both embryos arrested this morning on day 6
one was a morula, and the other an early blast.

So we'll give it one more shot incase it was a dud cycle- just for regret management. And then it's over with my eggs

Ohhh @Charlie74 not the news I was hoping to hear... So sorry girlfriend, even though you were bracing yourself it's always disheartening to re-live another failure.

Especially a cancelled transfer is a hard one to take coz you feel all you've done, the crap you injected, the trips for the scans etc, all that for nothing! Trust me I know... I know exactly how you feel.

I guess this brings you closer to your final goal though, regardless of how you reach it. One step closer...

In a way, crappy cycles like this make easier your decision to go DE as opposed to decent cycles which would make you hesitate.

That's how I look at it - almost wishing for the most disgusting results this cycle in order to be 100% sure I'm doing the right thing... I know it's sounds twisted, I hope I'm making sense...

I get your next last cycle for regret management - that's the one I'm doing at the moment, then I'm frucking done.

To be honest, if this last cycle is not meant to work for me, I'd rather have no transfer than going through the torture of the 2ww only to see a negative on a stick again - those are soul killer.
But everyone is different I suppose.

Hope you're as ok as you can given the circumstances.
When are you planning your last cycle?
    Xxx

We're wanting to do the next one end of May- I just need to find out if my doc is OK with us doing another without seeing her cos next avail appt isn't till may 17th which is too late.

We're remarkably ok actually.. It's disappointing but like you youve said I just keep telling myself we're getting closer to a resolution hopefully. I mean I may have had better results in my first 2 cycles but we still didn't do amazing.. We just got a few more to hatching blasts that could be frozen.. There's still no baby! So yeh the May cycle will give us the momentum to move on at least. 2 bad cycles in a row won't be a coincidence.

We also still have a frozen embryo so we'll transfer that in July. And we'll be figuring out 'how' we want to do DE. We're fairly convinced about going to Greece with Dr Nikos, it's just the anonymous aspect that I'm not 100% sure of yet. But we'll decide that in another couple of months.

I totally understand when u say u almost hope u end up with nothing to transfer.. I really get that. We weren't transferring anyway so I got to stop all the meds & crap last week.

I actually do feel pretty ok. Amazing!

    And Thanks @Tinachris X
