Thanks @LillyM.. I'll probably get the call later today I think. Am dreading it I have to say!

Oh @calypso75 that article is spot on.. It has me in tears it's so true. And to be honest I even say those words to myself 'at least.. I'm healthy (when I hear sad stories about someone being terminal or dying)'.

It's funny.. There is definitely something about the grief and sadness of infertility that somehow feels like it's not as valid or important as other kinds of grief. Like u have to sort of just suck it up bcos other people will never really understand it or 'get' how you feel. Maybe that's bcos not everyone experiences it?? Unlike other kinds of grief?
I mean everyone mostly has had a loved one die, or can at least imagine the pain they'll feel when someone they love dies.. But once people have their own children, their ability to put themselves in those 'infertility shoes' is gone forever.. They literally have absolutely no clue whatsoever how it might feel, how it does feel.

Really good article. If only none of us understood what she was talking about.

@calypso75 great article. It definately echoes some of my own feelings.
@Charlie74 here's hoping you get a good fertilisation report this afternoon. Are you hoping for a fresh transfer if all goes well?
@Caesardust I hope everything went smoothly with your transfer.

Hi to everyone else! Well my work day is done so I'm off for some drinks with friends. Hope you all have a lovely Easter break!

Thanks @ChocolateRain, unfortunately got terrible results.

Out of 13 eggs only 4 could be inseminated. And only 2 have fertilised.

I've told them to grow them out to day 5 but I'd put money on us not having any at all by day 5..

These are the worst results we've had in an IVF cycle, seems like my eggs might be cactus now- last cycle I was almost 41, this cycle I'm 42.4 so around 17 mths between cycles might have just left it too late unfortunately!

Sorry to read that @Charlie74. I really hope those remaining 2 pull through.

Gosh this journey is so unpredictable and relentless!

I've also had a long break since my last cycle - 18 months.

I threw in the towel after my 6th failed cycle and haven't had the will to jump back on the bandwagon but DH desperately wants to try again.

But even now I'm hesitant to do another cycle as my gut tells me we will just be throwing away more money.

Hopefully you can distract yourself over the next few days until you find out the results.

    Hugs.

No hon, only day 2 today. So we'll find out Monday or Tuesday if they've survived- but I'm not expecting them to. If they do were freezing and will transfer in a few months.

I think by the end of this year we'll be doing DE. Have to be logical and accept that my age is a big factor now.

    How are you?

Yes @gorgeousgeorge are you ok?? I hope so hon X
