It wouldn't let me post in the sleeping and settling section so posting here.
Our little girl is 21 months and we're struggling a bit with her waking at night. She's in a bed as she is quite long and we thought her hitting the sides of the cot might be waking her up so moved her to a bed. So she goes to sleep in her bed no problem and stays in there but at some point during the night she either wakes up and cries or comes into our room and we started the habit of just putting her into bed with us as we knew she'd then sleep all night BUT now as she's bigger she just takes over the bed and we're constantly being woken up. So bad! Feet in the back, loves her head on our faces, sleeps horizontally between us...the list goes on! We want her out! Our boys (5 & 4) never did this (we never brought them into bed) and it seems so much harder with her maybe coz she's our baby/little girl!?
Do we need to just be ruthless and keep taking her back to bed no matter how much she protest or cries? Should we go back to the cot? Argh...any advice?

My advice is to make her room amazing so she will love being in it.
You might have to cut out naps so she is really tired and won't wake at night.

I'm with butterfly baby and yes, you might have to put up with a few nights of backwards and forwards until she works out that she has to sleep in her bed
