@MrsTugs hey just checked in on your blog... Does Brisbane have a free version of ngala to help you out to look at staying there and working through bubs sleeping... your such a trooper the sleep issues and his allergies must be so exhausting! We have just been through 3 weeks of sickness and coming to the tail end with 4 teeth coming through... in and out of hospital it's been fun NOT... I was in tears the other day because she just wouldnt stop crying which is so unlike her... today we have woken up much happier which hopefully means we are finally getting better! So just checking in to make sure your ok xx

Thanks for checking in. We are booked in to sleep school not because I want to but because I'm being forced to. He's not waking unnecessarily from habit. He's waking Cos he's in pain or needs my support. There's very little that can be done to "fix" that other than "fix" him. Sleep school is not what we need. Nonetheless my hands are tied so I will be attending. I'll be respectful of the school while there but I will not do anything I'm not comfortable with.

I agree to do things your comfortable with but we had a sleep consultant come out and you would be surprised how many things she pointed out we were doing wrong... we're all first timers here and if advice helps I'm all for it... Zoe was self settling within 24 hours and only whinges before sleep when not unwell... we don't believe in letting them cry at all... I also am a firm believer now it working around Zoes routine. We set to certain awake times and don't go 15 minutes past that... so if she wakes at 9.50am we have her down by 1 to 1.15pm
we also put her down no more than 2.5 hours from awake time in the morning
she is also asleep by 6pm usually if she is awake more than 3.5 hours from her afternoon sleep
happy baby
let us know how you go

We follow the 2,3,4. So first wake cycle is 2hrs long then nap, then next wake cycle is 3 hrs etc. He usually can't make it that far on any of them but it's better than following his cues Cos he starts yawning and asking for nap approx 30 mins after he wakes from each nap.
