Default Harmony Test NIPT Gender Correct?

I had the Harmony Test done at 10+2. Last week everything came back good. However, I was advised that I am having a girl. After two boys all I want to do I shop! But I have read too many stories about the results being wrong for girls. I was wanting to hear from women who were told girl and had a girl (wondering if those whose tests were wrong were more likely to talk up, making it seem like the test has a high failure rate).

Told a girl and had a girl here That was a few years ago now so I'd like to think they keep improving!

I got told a boy and we had a boy this year. This was my third boy and I was so desperately hoping for a girl. I googled failures rates too, hoping they had mine wrong, but the 20 week scan confirmed it (and we wouldn't swap him for the world .... but I would have loved a pink one!). I do think the accuracy is pretty good now, but I'd wait until 20 weeks to go crazy with the shopping, just in case perhaps?

I have bought a few things but kept receipts. Convinced myself that I was past wanting a girl but that changed when I was given the results. Perhaps I shouldn't have asked for the gender if I wasn't going to trust it!

Got told a boy with 99.9% accuracy and had a boy.
I was told the test is more likely to be wrong (although very unlikely) if you've previously had a boy as their DNA can stay for a while, and 'could' be picked up next time around. For example, you have a boy, pregnant again with a girl but harmony test picked up Y chromosome from previous, so test comes back as a boy. Although as I said, highly unlikely.

I'd say you're having a girl and go crazy with the shopping. Science is so advanced these days isn't it.

Tests are pretty accurate...most accurate of all. You can wait till next scan and ask again.

I don't really understand how this one can be wrong when it's 99.9% percent accuracy. I mean.. obviously there is a tiny margin for error there but it's negligible. Ultrasounds are far less accurate.

I was told girl with NIPT and got my girl
