Probably unnecessary when the op has said she loves them.

So is your comment because I'm pretty sure she asked in the OP if she should paint them. No?

The drawers are nice drawers, just not in their current colour as I said, I thought I was answering the original question.

OP I can make some suggestions on what colour to paint them if you want.

I personally like these colours neutral grey but not too much grey in the room. You could keep the yellow on the outside and do some more subtle colours on the drawers and handles?

I would be tempted to paint it.

Otherwise, perhaps a mostly white theme with some yellow accents to tie in with the yellow on the drawers?

If you do not want to paint it I agree with everyone and keep walls white. The furniture should probably be white too.

Depending on your space but you could have that on a wall amd theme that wall in those colours. Have wall stickers. Yiu can have wall shelving in colours. Frames. Maybe some cushions and make it a play/reading area.

It was your comment about how horrible you found them I thought was unnecessary. The first part was fine, there was no need to add the second part, really. Surely you can see that it could be hurtful to the op who was gifted them and loves them, but just wanted ideas on how to work a neutral baby room around them, might not want to be told how horrible you think it is. Anyway, not going to argue it with you any further, I just thought it was a rude and unnecessary comment.

I'd definitely go with a Dr Seuss theme, keeping most other things white with a few pops of bright colours

So our house walls are a light grey color. The rest of the furniture in the room will be white as we will reuse from baby 1.
I love the drawers and because they are a one of a kind peice I think maybe painting isn't an option the more I think about it.
And this Dr Seuss theme sounds really really good to do.
I thought a few small round color rugs on the floor too.
I saw these but wonder how I could make them??

If you do go with Dr Seuss theme I love this quote - you can buy it as a print or wall sticker off etsy and maybe other places too.
I think keep walls, floors and furniture as plain and neutral as possible so the grey wall and white furniture would be good then maybe just a deep yellow floor rug or light shade and cushions to add some colour alongside the drawers. IMG_1489398828.509339.jpg
