Hey hun, I'm the same age as you and in the same boat! My doctor found stage 3 endo (I had no symptoms whatsoever) and removed it. I've been told to go away and try naturally for 3-6 months! This is my first month trying and currently 3dpo.. Hoping for the best, even tho I'm not feeling positive. Have you gone to see a specialist or will you give it another few months trying naturally?

Hi nightowlsurprise. Sorry you'll have to forgive me as I'm very new and hope I'm posting the correct reply. Thanks for your reply! Glad to hear the doctor has been dealing with your endo. How did you get your diagnosis? Did you see the doctor after a period of TTC? Apologies if you have already mentioned it on another post. That's good that you can start trying naturally! How are you going with your TWW? It's a bit like torture sometimes waiting, waiting. I'm thinking I might give it one more try naturally and then maybe see about going to the docs for help. I'm panicking a little because of my age and I'm very impatient, which doesn't help at all. I'm not very good at charting - I've missed my fertile period a few times and last cycle my partner was sick with a cold and was out of action. Hope you get some good news

    You have posted correctly

Yep, I gave it 6 months before going to see someone, cos as you know, I'm not getting younger I had 7 failed IVF cycles and saw 10 fertility specialists and my 11th one was the winner. I went there with all my papers and history and he immediately said "I am fairly certain you have endo"!!!! I thought he was wrong, because I had no symptoms, but he seemed certain and sure enough, he was right!!!! I wish he was the first one I went to, because I wasted a whole year on idiots and a lot of money was spent

I don't feel anything in the TWW, that's why I'm certain it hasn't worked, but I get to try again in 3 weeks so looking forward to giving it another go!

When is your fertile window? Maybe we will be ttc buddies

You know, it makes me wonder about these specialists! I'm sorry to hear you had to get to the 11th doctor before they diagnosed you. Wow, thanks for sharing, it must have been a roller coaster for you!! That's awesome you got the diagnosis and can now move on. Wishing you the very best and sending you lots of good vibes.

AF came for a visit today dammit so my next fertile window will be around May 12th. My partner has thrown a big spanner in the works as he is just about to start a new job just after the 12th working away fifo and what am I going to do then? He is going to miss my future fertile windows. My GP suggested IUI if that is the case. Right now just want to give the next cycle a good go, it's doing my head in a little haha

We must be fairly close with our fertile windows?

    Hey guys!

And Rachael3072, bummer re having to wait too!! Yeah I don't know when my next cycle is going to start now what with all my dates hitting 4/5 days early, so that's annoying..in theory around 17/18th May so hopefully we'll be cycle buddies

    Welcome lovely newbies!

Sorry to hear about your endo too @nightowlsurprise, it's ridiculously common nowadays so they really have to find a way to discover it earlier!!
@nightowlsurprise I gotta say that we didn't have to wait and come back in 3-6months after endo treatment..I had a lap with some endo + a growth removed too and we started IUI treatment like a month later...and it worked. If you are super keen then might be a good idea to get aNOTHER 2nd opinion on that wait (I know you went to heaps but yeah) cos we most definitely are not getting any younger...You could prob be preg quicker with just a bit of help (ie just drugs to boost your chances) if you didn't want to wait and finances allowed of course. I'm sure you're all over it tho, the whole lap thing is a pretty full-on experience, huh! But the knock-out drugs were awesome, lols🤣 I was sooooo happy. You're only 3DPO this month so I'll keep the fingers crossed anyways, hopefully it happened on its own, bit more organic and much cheaper!! I'd rather not do all the drugs too TBH but I go with what works now (we of the completely unexplainable infertility peeps).

Hey @crunchapple, I was horrible at charting too but made it a bedtime thing, just before going to sleep, it goes into my phone app called Fertility Friend..there are prob better apps but I like it cos it's quite flexible and it was free! Something to consider anyways. IUI is what we're doing and it's not too bad, am guessing they'll freeze your partners samples if he's going to be away, that'll prob cost a smidge more but makes his fifo status not too bad. There's always options which is good with technology these days! Don't panic but yeah get a good FS and don't wait if you can help it, time is our enemy and Im not tying to scare anyone, it's just life for us 40+ Queens. It takes time to get all the tests for IUI/IVF sorted out plus 2 months to get an actual FS appointment for a really good one anyways. Good luck hon either way.

I've had a very slow weekend really.. time is like it is in a vacuum, all I can think about is whether or not the last pregnancy (the blighted ovum) was a mistake, was it a sign my eggs are getting too old, should I even try again... I had a meltdown with my just turned 4 year old who is really really really an exhausting child, talks constantly and when he isnt talking he is sooking or whinging. He literally makes noise ALL THE TIME... So I was thinking maybe I'm done. Im so sick of his behaviour. But on the other hand, he will be at kindy 3 days a week next year and the year after that school.... Currently I put him and my 2 year old at the local gym's creche for an hour and a half mon tues wed thurs, because it is only $10 for them both. I have a lot more patience with babies. Just feel like I am doubting myself. One minute I am so excited about more tiny people, the next I am thinking... what am I doing with my life. Is it even worth it....

    Good afternoon 😊
It's nice to discover this forum and hopefully be able to share our experience and journey.
I'm turning 42 in a few weeks time, my partner and i have been doing the 'see what happens' thing for about 12 months and disappointingly nothing has! This has been our first month of more actively TTC and using an OPK. Now just entering the TWW which is just going to seem longer now i know when i o'd!

We both had children before we met, my partner had 5 and I had 3. Though I've only given birth once, i was lucky enough to welcome our 2 youngest into my family through foster care and couldn't imagine life without them!

My bio DS will turn 11 in a couple of weeks. In the 12 months or so before he was conceived i had 2 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy. I had another mc when he was about 18 mths old. ( it was then a very long time before i did any more bding but thats a different story!) I'm hoping i still have a few good eggs left in me!

Look forward to getting to know you all a bit more.

    Hugs @Rachel3072
I have moments like this too. Sometimes it all gets too much. But those moments are brief, and we are human!

Hey hun, if my cycle re-adjusts itself to 28 days, instead of 24 days, then my fertile window will be around 26 May, which is ages away!!

I have that problem too with my DH, it's so hard to TTC when he's not around.. How does it work with iui? Is that where they freeze the sperm and thaw it when you're in your peak fertile window??

Oh wow that's so awesome it worked right after endo removal! Can I ask how old you were at the time?? You give me lots of hope!!

My FS is great. I like him. But you're right about time being our enemy at our age. I'm going to give it 2 more natural goes and then start IVF again, but I'm concerned because the rise in estrogen is what aggravates endo and I don't want it to re-grow too quickly.. That's why my fs said to try naturally for 3-4 months. We can do IUI, but my husband's sperm is perfect.

Btw, did you have a boy or girl from your successful IUI and did they use any drugs at all?
