Hi all, sorry I've been away for a bit. I've just caught up on the thread, so will start with answering questions. @nightowlsurprise both my DP and I had quite a few tests done before DS was born, nothing was found. To be honest I can't remember what they all were but I don't think I was tested for immune issues. I remember the ob at the ultrasound clinic said that I'd basically had all the tests that she would have recommended and that anything else would be a waste of time and money, so I went with that advice. The fertility specialist said it was just a case of a combination of bad luck and old age... so not much I can do about that. @Deskar, its interesting to hear that you had a bleeding disorder. I had quite bad haemorraging with one of my miscarriages, and again with the birth of DS, and I always wondered in the back of my head whether I might have some bleeding issue that is causing miscarriages. I have no evidence to back that up of course - just me clutching at straws to find a reason.
Anyway, I'm half way though my TWW at the moment, so hoping for some good news in a week. Not holding my breath though, I don't think I have many more months left in me before I give up on this journey.

    Hi all!
@Meg2 I was actually told the bleeding is a good thing as far as fertility goes and that it has no causal effect with miscarriage. The positive is something to do with blood supply to the placenta. I've had a few big haemorrhages as well including during labour so I can empathise. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your tww
@nightowlsurprise fingers crossed for your lap as well I hope it moves things in the right direction
@Rachel3072 good to see things are still moving ahead for you!

    Hooray for the weekend!

Thanks so much @Deskar. Would you believe I'm excited for it? Lol. Can't wait. I also have to do some bloods which I will do on the day. I'm hoping for some answers!

An update from me, today is CD1. I got a BFP a few days ago, but unfortunately I've learned not to get too excited about them, and this one turned out to be a chemical. So, I guess we'll try again, but I'm actually starting to look into long term fostering now as I really don't think I'm going to have any more bio children. It's always a difficult time of the month (as you all know), but looking into alternative solutions gives me something else to focus on if nothing else.

Sorry to hear that you're going through this. I don't know what a blighted ovum is. I've never experienced one and never had a positive pregnancy test.

My stage 3 endo was excused 3 weeks ago. Got my AF after 26 day, so only 2 days late. Today is day 8 and it seems I'm gearing up to ovulate as my opk is starting to get darker.. I hope I don't ovulate before day 12 otherwise it's back to 24 day cycles and I really want to avoid them cos then it becomes an age related problem rather than an endo problem

A blighted ovum is like a miscarriage, when conception happens but the baby doesnt develop, only the sac and support system, usually it is due to problems with the egg or sperm, usually chromosomal. Im more annoyed that Im back having to ttc again, when this time took me 5 months of clomid.
Now I'm waiting for a normal cycle so I can start over.
