    Default TTC after loss

    Hi All
I miscarried my first pregnancy in October last year (missed miscarriage discovered at 11 weeks) and now hubby and I are TTC again (since November).

I can't see any specific TTC after loss groups on here and thought it would be nice to start one in order for us to share thoughts, feelings, experiences and (hopefully) good news stories!

That said, I would like to keep this group as positive and upbeat as possible, as that is very important when TTC after loss.

Of course, we are all still grieving and hurting and our losses will come up and are relevant, but this really isn't the appropriate place to share in-depth loss stories and seek support for that. This should be about the TTC journey afterwards.

I look forward to chatting with everyone

Thank you for joining in the conversation @Rachi321 and I'm sorry for your losses.

My loss was unexplained as well. I've found it daunting TTC again, but am also hopeful that there is apparently nothing wrong that should stop us conceiving or having a healthy pregnancy when the time is right for us.

I hope you get your BFP and rainbow baby soon

It's good to share journeys with others .. just wondering how you stay positive , have you been trying long. I feel I go up and down with my emotions. Try to be positive but as time keeps ticking away I get a bit more stressed @HannahH

We feel emotionally ready but we are waiting on the all clear from my urologist specialist and perinatal team who looked after my pregnancy the whole way through. They would like me to lose a bit of weight about 10kg before trying again but we're thinking 5 should be an aim as it could take a year to conceive our next Bub like it did with Charlotte.

Speaking of Charlotte, I probably should get around to making a pregnancy and loss journal as well as a new ttc one. It will help with expressing my feelings better if I write it all down.

@Evee16 I'm so sorry for your loss of Charlotte. You are so brave to be speaking about such a tragic loss so soon after the event. I'm sending lots of hugs to you and your husband.
I think you might have been part of the 'due in May 2017' group that I was part of initially?
I was due May 8 and had a missed miscarriage early on in October.
I find that writing things down helps me enormously!! When I am having a bad day I usually write emails to friends/family and then we chat to work through my feelings.
Feel free to write as much as you like here and I will always read what you have to say

    Default TTC after loss

@Rachi321 I have had fantastic support from family and friends to help me stay positive and pull through, but I still have my bad days.

At the moment, I am undergoing a barrage of tests because it looks like I have postpartum thyroiditis (after only being pregnant the first time for 11 weeks) and that is causing me all kinds of problems with my cycles and continuous bleeding (for going on 40 days now).

So we don't have much hope of conceiving again while that is going on, which is hard and is getting me down. Like you, the more time that passes the more upset I seem to get. But I just try to take things one day at a time and think that every day that passes is one day closer to me having a healthy bub.

And like Evee16, I find it really helps to write my feelings down.

Hey yes I was due 8th of may also. Everything with my pregnancy was fine with Charlotte in the first trimester. Then my kidneys played up making me get PE at 20 weeks and I had to be medically induced for my own health and safety .
Thank you Hun I appreciate it, same goes with you. Feel free to add me on FB if you want, I'm always up for a chat on there.
