I donate but I prefer other organizations in MY town. Salvos over all do a good job . I have just seen too many things in my local branch that i dont agree with.

I do think it's a great idea. I grew up in the Catholic Church so the idea of donating daily during lent is just normal to me.

I also like to do a Daniel fast over lent.

you could use this to donate to anyone you want to ...

I have just put in a new kitchen so have been busy cleaning out all the stuff that I dont use (waffle maker, pie maker, milk shake maker ... so many)

and lots of dishes and bowls, glasses sets etc ...

I could easily find 40 items to donate, and I may even do the above challenge (though don't usually observe lent). I have plenty of lovely clothes in great condition that I just don't wear, mostly dresses I have bought for a special occasion and only worn once or twice. I had a big clean out of my linen cupboard a few weeks ago and donated lots of baby blankets, sheet sets and quilt covers to St Vinnies. If it includes all household items, I have lots of stuff in my kitchen that is unused, things like a sandwich press I got for a gift when I already had one and a fondue set that I got at least 4-5 years ago, again for a gift, and just haven't used. Time to declutter next week when my mat leave starts I think!

I'm not religious but I could do this challenge. I love decluttering.
