Default Activities for an active toddler on Fridays Brisbane Northside - public transport acc

Anyone have any recommendations of something active that is suitable for a 2 1/2 year old that happens on Friday mornings & is easily accessible by public transport?

Not a playgroup, we already go to one & I want to do something different

We are getting bored of always going to the park

We have been going to rhyme time/story time at the library but I think he's getting too old for it - he just acts up the whole time, does runners etc & then is absolutely feral when we get home because he hasn't done enough exercise.

Also he's never been worn so nothing like kanga training etc

And something that is fully enclosed or contained because he's a runner

What about something like tumbletastic? http://www.tumbletastics.com.au. It's indoor and active. You'd have to check class schedules though.

There is an indoor playcentre at Nundah (pretty close to the train station).

    What about swimming?

He already does swimming & soccer on weekends.

I'm trying for some variety each week otherwise he gets bored & it definitely has to be active otherwise he's feral for the rest of the day

I think I might have been to that indoor playcentre before. Is it near Northgate station? None of the trains stop at Nundah anymore (thanks to Qld Rail)

I think so. I will double check but it is between them from memory.

Tiddlywinks is the playcenter at nundah. You can catch a bus to toombul if the train doesn't stop at nundah anymore. A little bit further to walk but closer than northgate

PCYC's run kinder gym type classes (balance beams, climbing, mini tramps, tunnels etc) a few mornings a week. I've just looked at the PCYC website and Redcliffe, Zillmere have Friday morning kinder gym clasess.

Bray Park PCYC has something called Kanga Kids on a Friday morning - it is described as being ballgames and general movement.
