    Default Boys names are hard!

We found out we are having a boy and are having a hard time finding a name we can agree on... we both love Oliver which we had on the list when i was pregnant with my DD, but its been the top boys name for several years in a row now so that's kind of off putting.

We have a long polish last name D*******ski so don't want any names that are too long or have too many syllables.

These are some of my favourites
Charlie - DH thinks this sounds like a nickname and would want Charles as a first name and use Charlie as a nickname. I however don't like Charles at all and think it sounds snobby haha.
    Henry - DH said no
Louis (pronouced Louie) - DH said no
    Oliver - Too popular

DHs suggested Alfred which is his granddads name (whom he never met, and he committed suicide when DH's dad was very young, i don't know how he would feel about that). I'm not a fan of this name and have suggested we use it as a middle name (as we used my nannas name as my daughters middle name which was DH's suggestion).

Would love some suggestions, more into traditional/old names rather than new modern names.

I like Alfred. It's classic and not used as much, there is a gunner who has her ds named as this. But maybe a middle name.

Mentioned to dh that you like but as grandpa took his own life you child could grow up thinking wow my folks named me after someone who killed them self. That's just my thoughts though

Michael, Lucas, George, Thomas, Nathan or Nathaniel, Adam.
Boys names are hard! DS was quite a few hours old before we settled on a name. Then DH requested we change the middle names!
If DS had been a girl, we had a name sorted easily.

I like Christopher. I also like Aaron, Andrew, Alistair is nice too. I love David as a name.
I always like Evan too but husband did not.

All my kids have 90s sounding names but traditional middle names. My sons have Daniel, David and William as middle names.

I always start with letters I like.

    Congrats on your son!
If you really love Oliver choose it! You might regret it if you don't?
My sons name wasn't popular until after I had him. That year it really took off and every other kid was his name.
I have a very popular name for women my age too. You just deal with it
