    Default Medibank obstetrics cover

Hi, I have full obstertrics and fertility cover with Medibank for years and have passed the waiting period requirement.

Has anyone in the eastern suburbs used their Medibank cover for obstetrics?

If so, what did you end up doing to maximise your benefits with Medibank? Which obstertrician is great and has the Medibank gap cover, or low gap fees?

I'm looking to minimise out of pocket expenses, and maximize the PHI I have been paying for years for.

    Thank you.

Most ob's have a pregnancy management fee and since it's not in hospital unfortunately is not covered by phi but you do get a little back from Medicare.

If you have an excess you have to pay that plus phi covers the paediatrician who will assess the newborn and anaesthetist fees if applicable....
