We've used various detergents. Atm we're using cheap generic liquid but have used cold power, purity and eco store powders in the past. It really depends on what your looking for in a detergent. Just make sure it is front loader friendly.

    Which one did you pick?!
Re detergents I've tried a few with my new washer. Have decided I prefer powder over liquid as I think it gives a better wash. Didn't like purity liquid at all for washing capability. Do not like the cuddly sensitive fabric softener makes the clothes feel greasy or something
Still not sure on washing powders but am about to try omo ultimate. I have heard biozet is the best but I am reluctant to try it as I've heard people with sensitive skin can have a reaction.

My current liquid does say top or front loader so im guessing that will be ok. Just the Aldi Almat one. Might try eco store as more natural. LOL i have to order it this morning. Ive decided on an LG as i dont like the little add door on the Samsung. I can just see my kids snapping it off and its an extra seal to clean / leak etc. But now im deciding between a 8kg LG in white or a 9kg LG in silver. I prefer white i think but not sure 8kg will b big enough.

I've always preferred powders as they leave less residue. That could be just my experience.
Good luck with your fancy new machine!

Go the 9kg. Always better to go bigger if you have the space imo.
