Ok so I never go out, anywhere .. I've been a SAHM for 10 years and in that time I may have gone to a handful of social events. I'm wardrobe poor and possibly social skills poor so this should be interesting!
Anyway I've been invited to an event on Friday night and the dress code reads as follows
Ladies, put your racing heels away as flat soles or sandals are the footwear of choice at the polo. Fresh summer vibes with a touch of glamour, a maxi dress or jumpsuit is the perfect option. And although not traditional, a fedora or a flower in the hair is the ideal accessory to complete the look for the switched on polo spectator!
What on earth do I wear?! Is something like this appropriate??

I think that dress (or something similar) looks perfect!
A long summery maxi dress or maxi skirt with top or playsuit with sandals would all suit.

Yep, I think that would be suitable with a nice pair of sandals
Other alternatives that would work:
Playsuit
Knee length summer dress
Nice top with 3/4 pants or dressy shorts
Plain top with a printed skirt

Ooh that inviation sounds like fun!
What about:
Cold shoulder Maxi
Cold shoulder jumpsuit/pantsuit
One shouldered maxi
If you look up the Freez website, they have a lot of things that may fit your criteria, especially in the Spicy Sugar range.

I think your on the mark with that dress OP. But be sure to buy something you are comfortable in & makes you feel fab. If you haven't been out in a while, you dont want to be worrying about our outfit.
Take your dress to one of those costume jewellery shops (Lovisa etc) & get them to accessorize you.

Perfect! Shoes are the key- either flat sandles, thick heal or wedges so you dont sink into the grass.
