Temperature inside the house is 32 degrees! Kids are camping out in our room tonight with the split system going, nice and cool in here. The evaporative air conditioner does nothing in this heat. Bring on the cool change tomorrow!!

There has been so much rain my family's farm inland is flooded, brother stuck in town for the night, dad only just made it home by the skin of his teeth. Tourists getting washed off the road, people having to get rescued by choppers as bridges washed away - crazy stuff!
DH reckons the river will flood his family farm in the next few days when it all comes down our way. His cows started calving today so we may not see much of him for a while.
We've been in winter clothes the last couple of days!
So hard to believe it's so hot over east!

Oh what id give fir some rain or cooler weather.
We're in the heatwave zone and are in the area categorised as catastrophic fire danger.

It is 36degrees at 11.42pm! Insane.
Predicted temp for us tomorrow is 46degrees.

Not sure what the temp in Brisbane is going to be but it'd been extremely difficult to sleep esp during the day after work. Sleeping in the bare minimal clothing as much as possible with 2 fans on doesn't help much at all.

Hope all stay safe in the awful heat most are encountering currently.

I was woken at 6:40 by hubby frantically getting dressed to go and shut silos at the farm. Not sure how much rain we got but he's not happy.
