Our 4, 6 and 8yo go to bed at 7:30 on a school/kinder night. They can read quietly in bed until 8:30, then it's lights out. They are usually asleep by then. Our 2yo is generally asleep by 8, but is a terrible sleeper so we hope for the nest every night, haha.
On non school/kinder nights, we are more relaxed about bedtime buy keep the teeth, story, quiet time routine the same.

Edit: all of them wake up by 7am, usually regardless of how late they've been up the previous night.

My DD's bedtime was a bit late over school holidays. Most of the time in bed by 9, asleep 9:30 sometimes. She'd wake 7:30/8. She now has to be in bed for stories by 8, asleep 8:30ish. She's been getting up between 6 and 7..

DS 6 on a school night is in bed by 8, asleep by 8.30 and alarm goes of 7am for school, weekends he stays up until about 9.30 and sleeps in until 8.30 - he needs minimum 10 hours to be a happy human!

Wow! That's late. Interested to know, what time are they up in the morning?!

I guess from your username (do you homeschool?) they don't have to go out to school in the morning which might make it easier??

My 3 are usually down around 8, up between 5-6am but they're younger. 6 and under

Mine are 7 and nearly 5 and bed time here is 7:30pm Sun-Thurs and by 8pm Fri and Sat if we are doing something. They are usually asleep within 10-15 minutes. They have the odd night where one or the other will mess around and come into the lounge at 9 to tell us they need a drink/tissue/toilet. Luckily it doesn't happen often!

They are usually up at 7am to get ready for school. They sometimes sleep until 7:30am on the weekend, but it's rare they sleep past that!

I don't know why, but if we are out late, the get up earlier! I'm pretty strict about bed time during term, but relax a bit on hols as they can nap if needed to make up for any lost sleep.

My 8 year olds are in bed by 8.
My 3 year old is in bed at 7, but it's often 8-9 before she is asleep- they still let her nap at daycare.

My kids never sleep past 6am. They know they're not allowed up before 6, but lately my boys have been getting up at 5... suffice to say they were sent to bed early the day we found out, and they haven't done it since.

And my kids also never sleep in, no matter how late they were up. It's cruel.

Ours are 11 and 9 now- on a school night they are in bed for 8pm. Get up at 6am.
At the weekend, bed at 9pm, up from 7.30 or later.

At age 5/6/7, bed was 7pm all the time.
