    Default First sign of AF

What's everyone's first sign when they know AF is coming? Mine is usually in the week leading up to my due date which is sore boobs.
I am 6days away and my boobs are sore and know once again I am most probably not pregnant...this will be our 8th month and starting to get frustration cracking through... I know it's within 12 months to go see the doctor. But when everyone in your family had no problem within 6 months it gets you thinking perhaps a trip to the doctors is due?

Mine is I get really tired, emotional and hungry about a week out and it continues right up to AF arriving. We are 11 months in to ttc. We asked our dr for tests 6 months in and have now been seeing a fs since November with our first round of iui last month (sadly not successful). Our ages are me 33 and dp 39. I would recommend pressing your gp for the basic tests, sperm count, internal scans for you etc. better to know than not. Good luck xo

Kylez83 thank you for sharing. I have never been really bothered about getting pregnant. It has surprised me though how emotional this journey can be at times. I'm 28 and dh is 36, we have both discussed if nothing has happened by April we will go and see what's going on. He is starting harvest soon (farmer) so I suppose he should concentrate on that for now..the other issue with me was I had the implant in my arm twice for six years and barely had my monthlies during this time period. I would say this would be a major factor for me getting cycles back to normal. Did you do iui because of pcos? I'm sorry it did not work first time that must be frustrating. I have a friend who has pcos and she used iui and they had two tries and were successful. Both her and hubby both lost weight and exercised before their second successful attempt. I hope the second time is successful for you sending baby dust your way xo

Hi @KJH0901 no we are seeking fertility assistance due to low sperm count. However last week I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to double check everything is ok and it turns out I had mild endometriosis. Thankfully they were able to get rid of it in the same op so fingers crossed our chances have now increased.

I think it's good to have a timeframe. Have your cycles returned to normal since having the implant out? Are you guys regional? We are and fertility assistance is harder to come by than in the city. Something else to keep in mind with your timeframes. We only have access to ivf 3 times a year, February, July, November so iui is the only option for us in the meantime if we want to keep trying. If you are regional I would look into these things too and allow for it in your ttc plan. Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks for your tips kylez83, i have been off the implant since July 15 and then on the pill until april 16. We started ttc on our honeymoon in July 16. I never hsd my period whilst on the implant (maybe once or twice per year) after coming off all contraception I initially only had my period for 3 days at the most now they are nearly 5 like they were before using contraception. We do live relatively close to our nearest city (30 mins) so no problem with access to fertility specialist. I have been told about Clomid and how this helps with pin pointing ovulation. Do you need a doctors script for this?

It would be fristrating only having 3 opportune window per year, i have lived regional for a number of years and found it was difficult for good health service. What is a laparosocpy and hysteroscopy? Tia and for sharing your experience xo

@KJH0901 the laparoscopy is keyhole surgery, 3 incisions on the abdomen and the are looking for any growths or endometriosis. Hysteroscopy is looking for any issues in the uterus. It turned out I had mild endometriosis which they were able to clear up. I haven't taken clomid as I seem to be ovulating. I think a fertility specialist or gp would need to give you a script for this
