Our first full IVF cycle resulted in our DD who was born sleeping in June last year. We did a FET in October which resulted in a bfn and we lost an embryo but our DS is on board from our cycle in Novemeber.

We got our DD first IVF cycle, but no embryos to freeze so we had to start from scratch for #2.

First cycle I got OHSS so had to freeze both embryos from that cycle. Went back for FET a couple of months later and neither survived the thaw 😣

Second stim cycle last year resulted in 3 embryos. Fresh transfer didn't take, first FET didn't take either. Turned out 3rd time lucky with our lowest graded embryo and I'm now 8 weeks pregnant ☺

It was a very frustrating experience for us having been so lucky to get DD on our very first try, but overall if we get a take home baby from this pregnancy it's bang on average 6 cycles (only 4 transfers) for 2 kids.

MFI for us mainly. DH had a vasectomy reversal which was technically successful, but had low results for count, morph and motility. We found out during all the testing that I originally had high ANA (anti nuclear antibodies) plus a prothrombin gene mutation. These can contribute to recurrent miscarriages so it was actually lucky we did IVF and found out otherwise we could have had a lot of heartache if we could fall naturally. I also have PCO but ovulate fine on my own.

Some FS's don't pay much heed to immune issues, so if they're not part of your routine tests before you actually start I would be insisting on it! Lots of people on BH have gone through multiple cycles only to lose precious embryos which didn't have a chance because of undiagnosed immune issues. I don't want to worry you more than you already are about the whole process but it really is worth investigating x

Oh and I said originally had high ANA because before the cycle that gave us DD my levels were off the charts, but since having her my ANA levels are only slightly elevated so it's worth getting tested before each cycle to see if it might be a factor. I am on prednisolone as a cautionary measure until after the first trimester has passed.

I have PCOS & a blocked right tube. DH has sperm but there was problems with the amount in the samples that weren't immature etc. So basically just needed egg and sperm to meet.
