My first proper project! It’s not perfect and I need to tweak the measurements, but the tutorial I followed was so easy and it has turned out really well! DD is going to be beside herself tonight.

Don’t need to tweak the measurements. Turns out I was missing an inch every time I measured the fabric length before cutting it, so was 3-4inches short whoops

Today’s second sheet. Cute Peter Rabbit. DD won’t be *as* excited but it’s super sweet.

On a roll!! I got some new fabric in the mail today and have cut out a sleeveless onesie with flutters out of it. Cannot wait to sew it up! I will be sad if I don't use it on baby if baby is a boy lol. IMG_20180917_161602_265.jpg

So I’ve just bought/downloaded my first patterns from Tadah. Any tips or tricks I should know about? I’m hoping I can do some sewing in the next couple of days while DD sleeps but she’s a stage 15 clinger at the moment so I’m not convinced it will actually happen.

Free skirt download, seaside playsuit and seaside dress/romper.

I’ll start with the skirt tomorrow as it is pretty basic (thank god )

Are you a total newbie to sewing? If so just stick with the easiest and follow instructions. They’re pretty detailed and good for beginners.

Yes and no. I have sewed previously when I was younger but not for years. Haven’t sewn anything requiring a pattern since year 8 home ec so I really have nothing to go on there haha
