@Mamasupial a while back, you said you had used the brindle and twig knit baby leggings pattern ("baby cuff pants" - hoping these are the same ones you've made). Did you have any trouble with the pattern? I just started making them, did the main part of them fine, then found that my waistband is way way way too small for the pants, won't stretch enough to sew on.
I re-read the instructions and it says this for fabric:
"Knit fabric for legs. Cotton / Lycra jersey works great.
Knit fabric for waistband and cuffs. Lightweight rib knit or a medium weight stretchy jersey." I'm sure what I bought is jersey and am using it for both waistband / cuffs and legs, so I'm not sure where I'm going wrong! Any advice? Not just mamasupial, anyone that can help me, it's really annoying me lol. And I did double check my pattern and printer scaling, I've cut the correct pieces and there's no scaling.

I have used that pattern though it's not the pattern I use all the time.

Is your fabric 4 way stretch or 2 way? I'm guessing it would be the fabric you chose. My very first pair were jersey but weren't stretchy enough.

Thanks for your response :-) I think it might only be 2 way stretch, do you think that could be causing the issue? I'm glad I started on that fabric as it was a cheaper one, and my more expensive one seems much more stretchy so might I might give that a try tonight

If the knit isn't very stretchy, (some just seem more so than others) you can always make the bands bigger and use elastic inside to keep them from stretching out of shape while wearing

Threw together a bean bag from some fabric my mum bought for my son, and an old bed sheet I had ripped up in the fabric stash lol.IMG_1490964029.539052.jpg

My first ever 'ready to sell on Etsy' dress. I'm so pleased with it! (Back view in first shot). I'll make a few different sizes in this fabric (this is size 6) and one other style from the same pattern in a different fabric that I bought, then I'll list them and continue sewing. Just want to see how I go selling a small number of items first.

Edit: looks heaps better actually on! Got my niece to be my model (DD didn't fit into the size 6)

I made an outfit for Possum for our childcare Easter celebration. I didn't see the shirt but I made the vinyl appliqué. IMG_1492033131.133941.jpg
